Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front office, guest services, housekeeping and laundry.
Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front office, guest services, housekeeping, laundry, and communications in an attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous manner. The Director of Rooms is also overall responsible for providing all guests with quality service while maximizing room revenue and productivity and developing managers and employees.
Pre-requisites for this post:
· Minimum 3 years experience within a similar rooms division senior management role, preferably within the luxury hotel market
· Extensive knowledge and experience managing and leading a front office and reservations team, preferably at a luxury hotel, including revenue management strategies.
· Experience managing the housekeeping/laundry department.
· Working knowledge of all other departmental hotel operations
· Proven track record of organizational skills, forward thinking, excellent time management and the ability to plan and direct the daily operations of a busy department
· Computer Literate – solid understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Property Management Systems. Knowledge of Springer Miller an asset
· Willingness to work split shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
