Join Federal Capital Group (FCG): Lead Our Digital Transformation!

Federal Capital Group (FCG), together with its subsidiaries Marathon Insurance Brokers Limited (MIB) and Federal Capital Investment & Finance Limited (FCIF), is a fast-growing insurance and financial services group focused on delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions. We are currently upgrading our core digital infrastructure with a major emphasis on our next-generation online motor platform. As we build a modern, resilient technology function, we are seeking a hands-on technology leader to drive this transformation and lay the foundation for scalable digital growth.

Position Overview

  • Title: Director of Information Technology & Systems
  • Location: Hybrid (with flexibility for the right candidate)
  • Reports To: President & CEO
  • Compensation: Competitive salary up to US$75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.

About the Role This is a pivotal leadership position for a technically strong candidate who will own the full technology stack, supervise the build-out of our upgraded online motor platform, and transition the group from fragmented/outsourced support to a modern, internally governed IT function. You will work closely with business stakeholders, external development partners, and leading AI consultants to deliver a secure, scalable, and user-friendly digital experience for motor insurance customers and internal teams.

 Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise the build-out and ongoing enhancement of the company’s upgraded online motor platform (core focus of the first 12–18 months).
  2. Lead the design, development, and integration of full-stack solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  3. Build and manage a small, high-impact internal IT team while coordinating with offshore developers, AI consultants, and third-party vendors.
  4. Own IT strategy, governance, cybersecurity, vendor management, and infrastructure (cloud, networks, endpoints).
  5. Drive the transition from legacy/outsourced models to a hybrid internal structure with clear accountability.
  6. Implement robust change management, access control, incident response, and disaster recovery processes.
  7. Partner with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business growth and digital innovation goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
  • Proven full-stack development background (modern web technologies, APIs, databases, front-end frameworks).
  • Direct experience leading the build or major upgrade of online platforms (insurance, fintech, or e-commerce experience strongly preferred).
  • Keen interest in and solid understanding of AI technologies (machine learning, NLP, automation, AI-driven underwriting/risk assessment, etc.); experience interfacing with AI consultants or integrating AI capabilities is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), cybersecurity best practices, and IT governance frameworks.
  • Experience managing vendors, offshore teams, and complex technology transitions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, AWS/Azure, PMP, full-stack dev certifications) are a plus.

Why Join FCG?

  • Play a central role in building a modern digital motor insurance platform from the ground up.
  • Work directly with world-class AI consultants and cutting-edge technology partners.
  • Be part of a dynamic group that values innovation, ownership, and rapid execution.
  • Competitive remuneration and genuine professional development in a collaborative environment.

HOW TO APPLY:

If you are a technically capable leader with full-stack experience, a passion for digital platforms, and genuine enthusiasm for AI, we want to hear from you.

Apply now by sending your CV and a short cover letter (maximum one page) explaining your relevant platform build experience and interest in AI.
