The Portfolio of Legal Affairs is currently inviting applications for the following post within the Truman Bodden Law School:

Director of Legal Studies

CI$111,360.00 - CI$146,124.00 per annum (USD$133, 800.00 – USD$175,600.00 approx)

The Director of the Truman Bodden Law School is responsible for overseeing the delivery and management of the Law School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and ensuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the University of Liverpool, Oxford Brookes University and relevant legal professional bodies.

Duties include teaching and curriculum oversight, student recruitment and support, strategic leadership, staff and resource management, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, institutional administration and legal research. The role also includes oversight of academic programmes, examinations, institutional reviews and maintaining relationships with UK affiliate institutions and the wider legal community.

Applicants for this position must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law at a grade 2:1 or above together with a relevant postgraduate qualification at Master’s level or above;
  • Current or previous right to practise law in the relevant jurisdiction;
  • At least ten (10) years’ higher education teaching experience and at least five (5) years’ programme management experience within a law school; and
  • A proven track record in academic or legal leadership, research and team management.
