The position requires the candidate to lead and manage a team of persons to ensure the efficient production of premium quality baked goods on time, within budget and to the standard required, whilst ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.

Principal Accountabilities / Key Functions: 

  • To oversee the production process and coordinate all activities to ensure that production targets are achieved and conducts root cause analysis to explain any variances. 

  • To plan and organize production schedules to ensure the availability of manpower, materials and equipment required for production. 

  • Set and manage production budgets/targets and implement cost control programs. 

  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives. 

  • Ensuring that finished goods meet the required quality standards. 

  • Properly manage yield and production time variances to ensure minimum scrap and non-productive time. 

  • Manages the team of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to ensure delivery of the department’s objectives. 

  • Develop and inform the KPIs for all CSRs 

  • Provide support to the CSRs when issues need to be escalated. 

  • Generates CSRs’ activity reports 

  • Liaise with Maintenance personnel to resolve equipment breakdowns in the shortest possible time. 

  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process. 

  • Organize and coordinate on-the-job training for department employees as required to facilitate the achievement of desired targets. 

  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances as appropriate. 

  • Monitor and review the performance of department employees and determine/organize the necessary/appropriate interventions for improvement in consultation with the Supervisor and/or Chargehand. 

  • Identify and report real and potential issues and non-conformances and suggest possible solutions. 

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s established good manufacturing practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Quality requirements. 

  • Actively promote, support and comply with Kiss Baking Company Limited’s established Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and industry best practices; 

  • Performs any other job-related duties as directed by Supervisor/Manager 

 

 

 

Required Technical Qualifications & Experience: 

Education: 

 

Minimum  

  • B.Sc. in Process/Plant Management or Engineering or a suitable combination of training and development. 

Certification: 

Minimum 

  • N/A 

Experience: 

Minimum 

  • 5-6 years’ experience in a supervisory/managerial position in a manufacturing environment 

  • Other equivalent certification or an equivalent combination of academic and work experience. 

 

 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Competency in MS Office – Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 

  • Good analytical skills

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
