Job Title: Dealer Account Manager

 

 

Primary objective of the job: 

 

The Dealer Account Manager is primarily responsible for driving sales growth and optimizing performance within our network of appointed retail partners. This role directly manages existing relationships, to ensure partners consistently meet and exceed all sales targets issued by Digicel, through strategic promotion and effective sales execution. A critical component of this position also involves expanding our retail footprint, by actively seeking new business opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline, and fostering key relationships through networking.

 

           

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with dealer principles to establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan, targets, and monthly promotional activities to drive sales within stores, and other retail footprints in support of achieving sales commercial objectives.
  • Maintain and expand the customer base, by identifying opportunities to increase revenue and acquisitions for Digicel, through the dealers and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date demand roadmap, to facilitate effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Manage day-to-day store sales operations, ensuring all stores operate within the policies set out for sales transactions, stock management, recharge, merchandising and Digicel brand guidelines. Complete monthly stock, as well as look and feel audits.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in Digicel products and services, and Digicel 4D sales and service process. 
  • Daily conference call with dealer representatives and store supervisors, to review previous days’ performance, sales gaps, sales plans and new launches.
  • Monitor competitor activities, ensuring dealer stores are always informed. This includes providing and maintaining up-to-date competitive analysis to aid sales conversations.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, detailing challenges and actions for both the dealer principal and our team.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of all dealer meetings, capturing issues, assigned actions, owners, and deadlines.
  • Employ strong relationship management and communication skills to ensure all risks, issues and dependencies are managed and stakeholders are appropriately engaged through clear engagement and communication.
  • Generate enthusiasm among dealer staff for new products, launches, programs, and initiatives.
  • Manage in-store marketing and brand messaging assets to boost sales and brand awareness.
  • Responsible for upholding Digicel’s standards regarding communication and confidentiality.
  • Stay up to date on industry regulations, trends, and technology.

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or management
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience performing similar role / duties
  • Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered an asset
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements

 

 

Functional Skills:

 

  • Sales Performance Management: Ability to analyse sales data, set performance goals, implement sales strategies, and drive partner accountability to consistently meet or exceed targets.
  • Channel Development & Expansion: Proficiency in identifying, onboarding, and integrating new retail partners, alongside developing strategies to grow the existing dealer base and market presence.
  • Relationship-Based Sales & Coaching: Demonstrated skill in building strong, collaborative relationships with retail partners, providing effective sales coaching, and leveraging product promotions to maximize joint sales outcomes.
