CI$87,444.00 - CI$114,768.00 per annum (USD$105,100.00 – USD$175,600.00 approx)
The Crown Counsel (Civil) undertakes civil litigation and provides legal advice and assistance to Government departments and statutory authorities. The allocation may change from time to time, and the nature of the duties will thus vary, but will comprise the full range of civil legal work, including contentious and non-contentious work.
The Crown Counsel (Civil) provides legal advice and assistance to Government departments, statutory authorities and other public bodies, assists in the preparation and negotiation of a range of contracts, leases, licenses and other agreements. Including Immigration, Human Rights, Constitutional Law, Land, Asylum, Public Law, Freedom of Information, and Data Protection.
Applicants for this position must be a solicitor, barrister or Attorney-at-Law qualified to practice in an English-speaking Commonwealth jurisdiction. It is also a requirement that applicants possess:
