CI$111,360.00 - CI$146,124.00 per annum (USD$134,200.00 – USD$175,800.00 approx)
The Senior Crown Counsel (Civil) is responsible for the conduct of civil litigation and the carrying out and supervision of the civil advisory work of two or more allocated Government Departments or statutory authorities. The nature of the duties will vary but will comprise the full range of civil legal work, including but not limited to administrative/public law, human rights, constitutional law, immigration, tort, employment, matters arising under the Children Act, freedom of information and data protection, planning, land law, requests for international assistance, regulatory & compliance work re anti-money laundering, countering of financing/proliferation of terrorism and financial sanctions, the preparation and review of contracts and other legal agreements and providing legal advice for Cabinet Papers.
The Senior Crown Counsel (Civil) will assist the Solicitor General and Deputy Solicitors General with some aspects of the supervision and management of the civil team of the SGO and will ensure that civil work is dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
