Overview

Our client is seeking a qualified Cost Controller to join their team on a one-year contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring expenditures and ensuring the accurate recording of costs, while working closely with internal departments and external vendors to maintain alignment between incurred costs and services delivered.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage SAP MM documentation, including Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Service Orders (SO), and Service Entry Sheets (SES), in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain strict compliance with invoice and requisition workflows
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to effectively track and manage expenses
  • Perform contract analysis, including account allocation, cost classification (fixed vs. variable), and monitoring invoiced versus committed costs
  • Ensure all expenses are accurately captured and assigned to the correct accounts
  • Prepare monthly accruals in a timely and accurate manner
  • Execute monthly cost reallocations to support accurate financial reporting
  • Assist in developing forecasts and annual budgets based on departmental input
  • Conduct cost and variance analysis to support monthly reporting requirements
  • Provide support to departments through cost reviews and analysis of key contracts
  • Undertake any additional duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar capacity (e.g., Cost Analyst, Cost Controller, or related roles)
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and financial management processes
  • Experience working with SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
