Job Summary

The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring expenditure and ensuring the accurate recording and reporting of costs. This role works closely with multiple departments to ensure alignment between recorded costs and vendor or supplier activities, supporting effective financial control and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage SAP MM documentation in coordination with department managers and process owners, including Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), Service Orders (SOs), and Service Entry Sheets (SES).
• Ensure strict adherence to invoice and requisition workflow processes.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to effectively monitor and control invoicing and expenses.
• Prepare and review contract analyses, including account assignments, fixed versus variable cost components, invoiced versus committed costs, and related financial details.
• Ensure all expenses are recorded accurately with the correct account assignments.
• Prepare monthly accruals for departmental activities in a timely manner.
• Perform monthly cost reallocations to support accurate financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of forecasts and annual budgets using inputs from operating departments.
• Conduct cost and variance analyses to support monthly reporting and decision‑making.
• Assist departments with cost reviews and provide analysis of major contracts.
• Perform additional duties or projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cost control or similar finance role, preferably within an industrial or energy-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control procedures.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
