COST CONTROLLER

The Cost Controller will be responsible for performing the entire cost control function of the Hotel, including cost estimating, budget control, cost reporting, and analysis. This position also requires the individual to devise ways to maximize returns on food and beverage purchases, by ensuring that all inventory controls are maintained according to company policy.

  SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Efficiently execute and manage all aspects of procurement for the hotel.
• Conduct regular inspections and spot checks of storage areas, ensuring stock rotation, cleanliness, and adherence to par levels and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to accurately cost recipes and set menu prices that align with targeted gross profit margins.
• Coordinate monthly stock takes and ensure proper verification procedures are followed, including periodic test checks to prevent discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit timely reports such as weekly flash reports and monthly cost summaries to the Financial Controller for review and analysis.
• Manage the timely and accurate submission of duty-free purchasing applications to ensure cost efficiency.
• Support the training, supervision, and scheduling of the Stores Unit, ensuring efficient operations, accurate timekeeping, and control overtime.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management or related discipline.

A minimum of three (3) years’ related experience in a similar services sector.
