The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of internal and external corporate affairs strategies, stakeholder engagement initiatives and providing administrative support to the Corporate Affairs Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the design of targeted communication strategies and briefs tailored to internal and external audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment with the Company's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Monitors emerging public and community issues that may impact the business environment in which the company operates and provides recommendations to the Corporate Affairs Manager to support the development of communication and engagement strategies.
  • Supports the development of strategies to identify, assess and mitigate reputational risks and collaborates with cross functional teams to enhance the company's resilience against reputational risk and maintain stakeholders’ trust.
  • Negotiates with vendors and external parties on cost and project logistics to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
  • Assists in planning and executing corporate events, stakeholder engagements and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Serves as a point of contact for internal and external communications, managing inquiries and directing them to the appropriate team members.
  • Performs routine administrative duties including but not limited to documenting minutes, scheduling meetings, preparing presentations and disseminating correspondence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, Communication, Writing or a related field  
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ relevant work experience in a similar capacity.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to write briefs and network and interact with persons at all levels, including personnel from various organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ensuring timely execution of corporate initiatives.
  • Ability to prioritize while multi-tasking effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Exercise initiative to ensure efficient workflow and demonstrate the ability to resolve situations before they escalate.
  • Capable of working independently, while also thriving in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and public holidays. This position requires being away from home, as needed, to support corporate engagements, stakeholder meetings and external events.
