As a JESS KET Officer, you’ll help to analyze client contracts, ensuring accurate and efficient recording and categorization.
ROLE: Contract Analysis Officer
Location: Kingston, Jamaica
OVERVIEW:
KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The Client’s KPMG Contract Advantage (KCA) Enablement Team (KET) is expanding operations at JESS to support the KET process area. Team members within the delivery center work with Client’s stakeholders under a team extension model to support Client’s back-office operations.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Client’s KET process area performs tasks related to contract language analysis, data collection, and categorization of client/engagement contracts contained within the Firm’s contract lifecycle management system (CLMS). As a JESS KET Officer, you’ll help to analyze client contracts, ensuring accurate and efficient recording and categorization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
What You’ll Do:
- Perform tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the Client’s KET team, including but not limited to contract language analysis.
- Efficiently manage client contracts, including cataloging and capturing metadata in the Contract Management System.
- Examine contract terms to determine their impact on firm obligations, including third-party restrictions.
- Provide timely responses to stakeholder requests.
- Maintain high standards through quality control processes.
- Maintain standard operating procedures and other process related documentation.
- Leverage KCA (KPMG’s branded Icertis CLMS platform) as the primary tool for daily contracting activities.
- Use KPMG and KJESS approved AI tools to enhance automation, accuracy, and efficiency across the end-to-end contract lifecycle.
- Utilize the KCA Archive Repository (a SharePoint Online solution) to retrieve and manage historical client contracts as needed.
- Evaluate and provide quality control (QC) feedback on KCA AI data extraction effectiveness, identifying error trends and root causes.
- Offer subject matter expertise for AI prompt creation and optimization of existing prompts used in the KCA platform.
- Support and execute contract hierarchy management, including creating and validating parent/child and peer/peer relationships.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) of the KCA platform for new releases and feature enhancements.
- Provide feedback to improve KCA platform capabilities, user experience, and workflow design.
- Receive and share Icertis platform training to improve team capability and cross-skill coverage.
- Engage with embedded GenAI features such as Icertis Copilot and Interactive AI Applications.
- Gain early exposure to future KCA AI features, tools, and transformational releases.
- May have opportunities to support contract-related data analytics initiatives and future enhancements under consideration, such as Templating and the potential development of a Clause Library Center of Excellence (COE).
- Report primarily to the JESS KET Team Lead but will also take direction from the KET Manager, other internal JESS leadership team members, and KET Client team members responsible for supported work.
- Any other duties assigned by the process lead.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- A bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university is required. A law degree is not required for this role.
- Minimum of two years of work experience, preferably as a Paralegal, Quality Assurance, Compliance, or similar background
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, digital-first environment
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
- Our team is using a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home in Jamaica and being in the office. You will be required to spend a minimum of five days each month in the office, though this number may increase depending on business needs
- Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities
- May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays
