Construction Project Manager

Our client is seeking a highly competent and results-driven Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from initiation through completion.
The successful candidate will ensure that all works are executed safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, contractual knowledge, and hands-on construction experience to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
  • Oversee and coordinate construction projects from start to completion.
  • Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Develop project work plans, sequencing, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Ensure efficient deployment of labour, materials, and equipment.
  • Track project milestones and proactively address delays.
Financial & Commercial Management
  • Prepare interim payment certificates, project valuations, and final accounts.
  • Assess, prepare, price, and manage variations.
  • Monitor project budgets and cost performance.
  • Conduct cost forecasting and cash flow projections.
  • Review subcontractor payment applications and certify payments.
  • Ensure accurate documentation to support claims and contractual entitlements.
Contract Administration
  • Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Interpret contract terms and advise management on risks and exposures.
  • Manage correspondence with clients and consultants regarding contractual matters.
  • Ensure timely submission of required documentation in line with contract conditions.
  • Identify potential claims, delays, or disputes and take appropriate action.
Site Supervision & Quality Control
  • Monitor works on site and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and construction best practices.
  • Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper documentation of site instructions and change orders.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
  • Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Provide management updates on project performance, risks, and key issues.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and consultants.
  • Represent the company in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
Requirements
  • A recognised qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ construction experience, preferably in a project management or supervisory role.
  • Strong experience preparing interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and contract administration.
  • Solid knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s licence (preferred).
