          Compliance Officer – Restaurant Maintenance and Infrastructure  


Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all Dachin restaurant locations are appropriately maintained and serviced. He / She will be primarily based at the Dachin Restaurants (Texas De Brazil, Rizzoni’s Ristorante and Jaxx International Grill) and will rotate across the restaurants to examine, investigate and evaluate the infrastructure at the restaurant locations to ensure that they meet the required standard and uphold the restaurants’ individual brands.

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visits Dachin’s Restaurants regularly to perform maintenance checks on the restaurants’ structures, facilities and equipment including electrical, mechanical and temperature checks.
  • Ensures effective communication among Restaurant Management, Multi-Unit Directors and other relevant stakeholders, recommending required repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Liaises with vendors / suppliers on price, quality and delivery terms most favourable to the Company.
  • Coordinates the installation, maintenance, and repair work at the restaurant locations.
  • Liaises with the relevant parties (Restaurant Management, Multi-Unit Directors, Inventory and Purchasing Manager, etc.) to order relevant supplies as needed in accordance with procurement regulations.
  • Develops and maintains computerized spreadsheets and databases to enter information and generate reports pertaining to the maintenance and infrastructural requirements of all restaurant locations.
  • Reports to Senior Management on findings on a weekly basis, providing recommendations and feedback on corrective actions.
  • Analyzes data to recommend improvements to processes, systems, and policies to enhance consistent restaurant location maintenance and infrastructural works.
  • Facilitates Quality Review Programs to ensure consistent application of process improvement protocols and compliance with established performance metrics.
  • Implements corrective and preventive measures and maintenance plans to address quality and compliance issues, ensuring alignment with warranties and established standards.
  • Liaises with relevant parties to ensure recommended remedial actions and / or repairs are cost effective and quality focused.
  • Develops and updates maintenance procedures to ensure consistent adherence to required standards while meeting compliance obligations.
  • Conducts checks on restaurant documentation to ensure compliance with operational requirements.
  • Participates in third-party audits and calibrations, providing documentation and corrective action plans to resolve non-compliance issues.
  • Performs other job-related duties as needed.

 

Qualifications & Training:

  • An undergraduate degree Business, Management, or equivalent qualification.
  • Project Management training.
  • Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Certification.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a QA/QC role.
  • Previous experience working in the restaurant / hospitality industry will be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in conducting compliance / audit checks will be considered an asset.

  • Computer proficiency especially with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling, and preventative maintenance.

Work Environment:

  • The role requires the incumbent to possess a vehicle in good working condition, as mobility across the restaurants is required.
