The Commodity Manager to oversee the strategic sourcing, procurement, and management of commodities critical to the business operations of Group Companies operating across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
•Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
•Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Supplier Management:
•Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
•Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure the best value for the company.
•Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues proactively.
Market Analysis:
•Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the commodity space.
•Provide forecasts and insights to support decision-making.
Cost Management:
•Drive cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
•Manage budgets and track savings achieved through strategic sourcing.
Reporting & Analytics:
•Track and report key performance metrics for commodities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
5+ years of experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and contract management.
