We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Operations Division: 

COMMISSARY COORDINATOR

Job Purpose:

To support and drive the effective operation of the Commissary by ensuring optimum customer service, accurate inventory management, product availability, pricing integrity, while supporting seamless customer transactions and accurate end of day balancing.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Supports and processes system operations and SOPs relating to Transfers, Stock Adjustments, Purchase Orders, Manager’s Request and Item File Maintenance.
  • Performs internal controls by validating Finance Entries for good stock in the S2K system, and communicating any discrepancies to the Operations Support Team Lead and Inventory Control Team Lead via email and ensuring corrective action taken as per set procedure.
  • Processes customer purchases accurately using the Point-Of-Sale (POS) system and handles cash, card, and other payment methods in accordance with company procedures.
  • Balances cash drawers at the end of each shift, accounting for all cash and transactional documentation and reports discrepancies promptly.
  • Sorts and packs out shelves with damaged and good stock in accordance with layout, rotation, and presentation standards and handles goods for disposal or return.
  • Monitors shelf stock levels for good stock and reports low or out-of-stock items to the Operations Support Team Lead.
  • Facilitates the staff goods collection process, which includes, but not limited to:
    • Receiving and verifying all staff goods against the invoice to ensure accuracy of items received
    • Contacting staff members to collect their items in the Commissary
    • Liaising with the warehouse on the return of any unwanted staff goods
  • Ensures all goods have accurate and up-to-date pricing, are properly labelled and reports pricing discrepancies to the Operations Support Team Lead.
  • Participates in and makes preparation for Quarterly Cycle counts by ensuring all goods received are packed out on shelves in an organized manner while adhering to Stock Count Guidelines.
  • Performs random stock counts, investigates and reports on variances and findings to Operations Support Team Lead.
  • Composes and sends email correspondence on special, promotions, working hours and collection of staff orders.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of five (5) CXC passes, including Math and English
  • Certificate in Inventory Management will be an asset
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of a Point-of-Sale System / Computer Literacy
  • Knowledge of the Brydens portfolio of products will be an asset

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze data
