The Commercial Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights and strategic analysis to support Sales (all channels) and Marketing across the Company. The role focuses on enabling commercial growth through robust sales reporting, campaign performance analysis, pricing evaluation, and customer insights. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams, the Commercial Analyst will ensure commercial strategies are grounded in accurate data, actionable insights, and clear performance tracking. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, commercial awareness, and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations that drive revenue growth and market effectiveness. 

 

  1. Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Collaborate with Sales teams (On-Trade, Off-Trade, and Key Accounts) to deliver actionable insights on performance, customer trends, and distribution effectiveness. 
  • Partner with Marketing to evaluate campaign effectiveness, trade promotions, and brand performance, providing recommendations to optimize ROI. 
  • Develop, maintain, and automate sales and marketing reports/dashboards to track KPIs such as sales volume, revenue, distribution, penetration, and market share. 
  • Conduct pricing, margin, and discount analysis to support commercial decision-making. 
  • Provide demand and forecasting insights to ensure sales and marketing plans are aligned with business objectives. 
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and market trends by analyzing historical and current sales data. 
  • Support development of customer and product segmentation to strengthen targeted sales and marketing initiatives. 
  • Act as a bridge between Analytics, Sales, and Marketing to ensure commercial activities are informed by data-driven insights. 
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of sales and marketing data across all reporting platforms. 
  • Participate in projects that enhance commercial effectiveness, including sales planning, go-to-market strategies, and campaign tracking. 

 1.1 General Responsibilities: 

  • Implement any activity, process, or strategy that will improve the competitive advantage of the Company, in consultation with the C-Suite, Directors, and other members of the Senior Management Team. 
  • Maintain and enhance the reputation of the Company by demonstrating the highest standards of ethical conduct. 
  • Abide by the Company’s disciplinary code. 
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned. 

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and dashboards. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex datasets into actionable insights. 
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and CRM/ERP systems. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for preparing commercial reports and presenting to senior stakeholders. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain. 
  • Strong commercial acumen with understanding of sales processes, channel strategies, and marketing concepts. 
  • Detail-oriented and methodical approach to ensure accuracy in commercial reporting. 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

 3. Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • 2- 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.  
  • Understanding of impact of forecasting and related decisions.
