POSITION : Collections and Soft Sales Agent

Collections Agent

Job Summary:

The collections agent is responsible for negotiating and resolving delinquent account balances with customers while adhering to all regulations, high standards of compliance, and company policies.

Specific Duties:

  • Contact customers in arrears to discuss outstanding debts.
  • Follow Company policies and procedures at all times, ensuring that legislative requirements are met.
  • Achieve set revenue targets and call quality objectives.
  • Handle each call promptly and in the correct manner, updating records accordingly.
  • Take responsibility for resolving disputes, ensuring that caller concerns are actioned correctly and all parties are notified.
  • Being persuasive, persistent and self -motivated and assertive.
  • Monitors delinquent accounts and implements collections procedures.
  • Responds to inquiries from customers or external collection resources.
  • Obtains required information from credit organizations, banks and loan associations for new customer applications and/or delinquent accounts.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations regarding bad debts or write-offs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  •  At least 3 CXCs including English Language

Required Experience:

  •  At least (1) year of experience in customer service.
  • Experience as a hard-core collections agent preferred.

The Sales Agent is responsible for generating sales for the company by executing sales pitch, negotiating and closing sales while maintaining exceptional service to every customer via the telephone. This is an excellent opportunity for a top sales agent. The client is a pioneering company that connects customers to financial advisors. We are looking for ambitious, target driven individuals with a passion for sales.

Job Requirements:
  • Make a large volume of outbound calls to potential clients and convert those leads to appointments for Onboarding Specialists
  • Follow scripts to schedule introductory calls
  • You are willing to work atypical hours when needed (nights/weekends) 
  • You want to work in a casual and technology-driven startup environment
  • You are interested in outbound B2C sales over the phone 
  • You have the desire to spend your day talking to people
  • You are energetic, diligent, and persistent
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Interest in Wealth Management, sales to individual customers, or cold calling a plus
  • A sales mentality – you are comfortable with part of your compensation being tied to performance and believe in owning your own destiny 
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills 
  • Client first attitude, professional demeanor, personal integrity, and an understanding of fiduciary  responsibility 
  • Excellent computer skills along with the ability to learn in-house software and tools

EDUCATION:
  • 3 CSEC/CAPE or City & Guilds Required
  • Heart NVQJ certification/Associates Degree or Higher Preferred

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 1 Year experience in call centre-setting 
  • Experience in doing outbound sales/cold calling a requirement
  • Strong Customer Service experience/background is a requirement
