Chief Financial Officer

The incumbent will be responsible to lead and manage the company’s financial strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong background in information technology and modern financial systems.

We are a fast-moving medium-sized Distribution and Manufacturing Company seeking to identify a suitably qualified individual for the position Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our Kingston location:

Summary: The incumbent will be responsible to lead and manage the company’s financial strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong background in information technology and modern financial systems, capable of operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee financial management while also supporting operational efficiency, particularly in environments with large inventories and multiple SKUs. 

Key Functions:

• Lead the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Oversee financial reporting, compliance, and risk management
• Manage cash flow, financial controls, and accounting operations
• Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership
• Optimize financial systems and integrate technology to improve reporting and efficiency
• Monitor and manage inventory valuation and controls across multiple SKUs
• Support operational decision-making with data-driven financial insights
• Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls and processes

Minimum Requirement & Competencies:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent)
• Strong information technology background, particularly in ERP
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced business environment
• Experience managing inventory-heavy businesses with multiple SKUs
• Strong analytical, leadership, and strategic planning skills
• Experience with Odoo software would be a significant asset
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Age range: Mid-30s to mid-40s
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on financial management
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving business environment
