Our Client, the National Commercial Bank of Anguilla Limited (NCBA), the leading financial institution in Anguilla, is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the bank, cultivating a culture a high performance, and achieving continued strong financial performance, credit quality, business development, operations, regulatory compliance and risk management.
This position is based in Anguilla and offered as a renewable contract.
The successful candidate must have proven experience in the following key areas:
- Leading a highly engaged and results-oriented team, through the adoption of a deliberate performance-driven model.
- P&L leadership with full accountability, as well as stakeholder engagement experience gleaned from leading teams of senior executives and interacting with institutional and retail shareholders, a seasoned board of directors, and the highest levels of government and regulatory officials.
- Digital transformation, to include successes in driving technological change, leveraging data and creating a data-centric culture and teams that rationalise legacy technology.
- Ability to shape an organisational purpose and vision that is grounded in an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda, and have a track record of encouraging diversity.
- Successfully leading a financial institution, with demonstrated ability of adaptation to uncertainty, competitiveness and prepared to evolve the business models.
- Ability to manage evolving risk and regulatory dynamics, as well as be prepared for the unpredictable.
- Successfully navigating through high credit risk portfolios, to drive improved balance sheet performance.
- Capital augmentation and divestment strategies, to achieve improvement in overall regulatory capital and shareholder objectives respectively.
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and background:
- Master’s Degree in Management, Business Administration or a related field from a duly recognised academic institution
- At least 10-15 years’ senior executive experience managing a financial institution.
- Experience in wealth management and/or investment banking will be an asset.
