Overview:
Our client is recognized as a premier distribution company across the Caribbean who provide seamless logistics solutions for leading pharmaceutical & consumer brands to multiple territories. Due to growth, they are seeking to appoint a competent professional to assist in the smooth operations of the customer service department of the Barbados operation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service by demonstrating courtesy in all interactions, and actively identifying and resolving potential service issues.
  • Performing all responsibilities of a cashier, including servicing the customer cashier booth at all times, with the exception of breaks or when performing another duty assigned by a Manager / Director.
  • Accurately processing sales transactions (charge accounts, COD, cheques, etc.) and reconciling cash, while following company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Accurately filing COD bills in a timely manner so that all filing is up to date.
  • Writing up bank deposits and ensuring cash is checked off by Accounts.
  • Accurately and promptly completing the Cash Report Form and correcting anomalies if found.
  • Keeping the work station(s) in a clean, tidy and orderly manner.
  • Attend and participate meaningfully in training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Complete administrative tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Director.
  • To perform any other task given by Supervisors/Directors relative to productivity and the smooth running of the department.
  • To perform any other duties reasonably required of a Cashier / Filing Clerk or an employee working in your job.

 

Requirements

  • Secondary school education with qualifications in English and Mathematics.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Dependable with the ability to work weekends and overtime.
  • Experience working in a similar position would be an asset.
  • Customer Service – provide timely, attentive, enthusiastic service to all internal and external customers, while making sure their needs are met in a manner that reflects positively on the company.
  • Dependable – Trustworthy, punctual and consistent.
  • Communication – Seek first to understand by effectively listening to others, ask relevant questions for clarification and respond appropriately, both verbally and in writing.
