Wholesale Customer Service Representative (Distribution Sector)

 

Overview: Our client is recognized as a premier distribution company across the Caribbean who provide seamless logistics solutions for leading pharmaceutical & consumer brands to multiple territories. Due to growth, they are seeking to appoint a competent professional to assist in the smooth operations of the customer service department of the Barbados operation. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries, orders, and product information
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism and empathy, striving for prompt resolution
  • Respond to customer inquiries and process orders via phone, email, chat, or in-person
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and escalate complex issues to appropriate departments or supervisors when necessary
  • Assist customers with product selection, returns, refunds, and order processing
  • Process transactions accurately using cash registers and POS systems
  • Handle cash, card, and other payment methods according to company procedures
  • Balance cash registers and maintain an organized cashier area
  • Answer and route incoming calls and welcome visitors at reception
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Accurately enter customer and government orders into the system
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to support order fulfillment and delivery
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, inquiries, and resolutions; document and report common customer complaints or feedback to improve products or services as required
  • Writing and or issuing of credit notes and researching all information necessary to write such credit notes, promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory counts, restocking shelves, and maintaining product displays as needed.
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers
  • Train on new products or services as they are introduced.

 

Desired Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Secondary school education with qualifications in English and Mathematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Proficiency in using computers.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and administrative tasks.
  • Flexible and dependable with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • At least two years’ proven experience in a customer service role would be an asset.
