The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the following post:
CARE GIVER
The incumbent provides a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children placed at the Daycare Centre. The position works as part of a team to provide an enabling environment in which all children aged three (3) months to eight (8) years old can play, develop, and learn. He/She gives support to staff within the setting and builds and maintains strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.
Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess:
- Four (4) GCE ‘O’ Level/CXC General Proficiency subjects, including English Language
- NCTVET Level 2 in Early Childhood Development or a Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Development, or a similar area from a recognised institution.
- Food Handlers Permit
- Untainted Police Record
- Paediatric Basic Life Support
- At least one (l) year of experience working in a similar capacity
