OVERVIEW:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named Jamaica Extended Support Services (“JESS”) operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”).

 

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will focus on project work with a significant emphasis on process mapping and business analysis. You will lead initiatives to discover, model, analyze, and improve business processes while collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams to align with business objectives and strategic direction. Your expertise in Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) will guide efforts to analyze and recommend enhancements. You will manage functional requirements using user stories and create process diagrams to visualize current and future states and involved processes.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Delivery

  • Lead process discovery and mapping sessions using BPMN to facilitate collaboration among stakeholders and technical teams
  • Conduct analysis and improvement of assigned processes to enhance efficiency and minimize complexity and waste
  • Recommend solutions such as end-to-end process automation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Agentic AI deployment based on identified inefficiencies
  • Identify business requirements and translate them into detailed functional requirements, including user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Develop process diagrams to illustrate current state, future state, and involved processes to support transformation objectives
  • Elicit, compile, document, and manage clear functional requirement to be used in the design and QA testing

 

  Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Proactively identify and escalate issues to JESS Leadership, and recommend corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Cultivate productive relationships with Client
  • Effectively communicate with the Client to understand any changes to departmental processes

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience as a Business Analyst, managing multiple concurrent work streams of business analysis and leveraging best-suited methodologies and practices
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)/Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) is preferred
  • Proficiency in Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) is preferredStrong software skills in BPMN process diagramming, modeling, analysis, and architectural modeling software tools such as ARIS
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to problems and issues
  • Experience in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Jira, and ServiceNow is a plus
  • Able to effectively facilitate meetings and workshops involving cross-functional teams, being an active leader during elicitation sessions, using a variety of elicitation methods such as interviewing, workshops, business process and workflow review
  • Solid verbal/written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgement skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
  • Strong problem-solving skills, project management skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and work well within a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • JESS uses a hybrid work model, allowing staff to work from home in Jamaica or in the office. Employees must be in the office at least five days per month, with more days possible if required by business needs.
  • You are expected to use KPMG-approved Generative AI tools to support your daily work tasks.
  • Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities.
  • May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays
