Business Analyst

Main Purpose of Job:

The Business Analyst will provide critical support in forecast submissions and analysis, order book management, stock management, in-market intelligence and analysis, and business performance assessment. This position is pivotal in ensuring there is data-driven decision-making around potential opportunities and risks, enable seamless execution of regional operations, continuous reporting, and continuous improvement of commercial effectiveness around customer relationship management and day-to-day performance tracking. 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Forecasting & Demand Planning 

  • Consolidate, validate, and analyse sales forecasts submitted by Commercial Managers. 
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in forecast accuracy. 
  • Provide actionable insights to align demand planning with supply chain and commercial priorities. 
  • Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain teams to ensure forecasts reflect market realities and budgets. 

Order Book Management 

  • To track and monitor the order book pipeline across markets, ensuring timely submission, processing, and fulfilment.
  • To identify and quickly address bottlenecks, delays, or risks impacting deliveries and escalate appropriately. 
  • To develop dashboards and reports to provide transparency on order book health to Commercial Managers and regional leadership. 

Stock & Inventory Management 

  • Monitor stock levels across markets and highlight risks of overstocking or stockouts. 
  • Support Commercial Managers in balancing inventory positions with demand forecasts. 
  • Partner with supply chain teams to optimize replenishment cycles and minimize write-offs. 

In-Market Intelligence & Competitive Assessment 

  • Gather and analyse in-market intelligence, including competitor activity, pricing dynamics, and consumer trends. 
  • Prepare regular market assessment reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide insights into emerging risks and opportunities within the EMEAA region. 

Performance Reporting & Analysis 

  • Develop and maintain KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards for Commercial Managers. 
  • Conduct variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and targets. 
  • Prepare management reports, presentations, and insights for leadership reviews. 

Business Partnering & Support 

  • Act as the first point of analytical support for the Commercial Managers, enabling them to focus on commercial execution. 
  • Support ad-hoc business analysis, scenario planning, and strategic projects across the region. 
  • Drive standardization of reporting and processes across markets for greater efficiency and comparability. 

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred). 
  • 3–5 years of experience in a commercial analyst, business analyst, or finance role (preferably within FMCG, consumer goods, or international markets). 
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, sales operations, and supply chain processes. 
  • Experience working across multiple markets or regions is a plus. 

 

Required knowledge/skills/abilities:

  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with business units in a clear and concise manner.
  • Keen analytical skills.
  • Innovative and can think outside of the box.
  • Knowledge of regional business development strategies and market entry processes within the assigned regions.
  • Awareness of current ESG sustainability practices in the manufacturing sector.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, to changing market conditions and opportunities.
