A new national distribution company is launching a premier global energy brand and lubricant portfolio in Jamaica. We’re hiring a Brand Manager to lead strategy, profit and loss, market development, and brand performance across retail, trade/wholesale, fleets, and industrial accounts. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Build the annual plan; manage revenue, gross margin, trade spend, and inventory turns. 
  • Define assortment, pricing tiers, channel programs, and launch roadmaps for passenger car, motorcycle, heavy-duty, and industrial segments. 
  • Partner with sales teams to deliver monthly targets; design incentives and promotions tied to volume and mix. 
  • Own campaigns, digital presence, events/activations, and content that educates mechanics, retailers, and end-users. 
  • Recruit and manage dealers, workshops, and fleet partners; negotiate jobs to be done aligned trade deals with clear KPIs. 
  • Forecast at SKU/pack level, align with procurement, and maintain optimal stock health (OTIF, DOS, aged inventory control). 
  • Build product and selling-skills training for internal teams and partners. 
  • Ensure brand standards, data accuracy (TDS/SDS), and regulatory compliance. 
  • Build a small, high-output team (sales/marketing/merchandising) and drive a performance culture. 

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / Marketing/ Engineering (MBA a plus). 
  • Minimum 6–10+ years in brand/commercial leadership within the FMCG/automotive lubricants/chemicals or adjacent categories. 
  • Proven profit and loss management and successful market launches. 
  • Strong trade marketing and channel management experience (retail, wholesale, fleets). 
  • Data-driven operator: price/margin modeling, promo ROI, forecasting, and dashboarding. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation; comfortable in the field and boardroom. 
  • Valid driver’s licence; willingness to travel island wide.
