This job is accountable to the Branch Manager for the provision of financial advice/solutions to members; and the supervision of all front-line operations including the security detail for the Branch. Also the processing of loan applications for those members seeking services from JPCCU.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABLITIES / MAJOR TASKS

The Branch Supervisor-Loans Officer is accountable for the following results:

  1. Conduct surprise cash count of all cash at the teller station to ensure that the Credit Union’s Policy and procedures are being adhered to.
  2. Ensure that all front-line employees and systems are in place for the opening of the Branch and that all services are available to members for the opening hours daily.
  3. Ensure that the necessary security arrangements for the Branch are in place on a daily basis especially during opening hours.
  4. Ensure that the teller(s) is/are supplied with adequate cash to meet members’ demand on a daily basis.
  5. Balance the teller(s) daily transactions.
  6. Conduct periodic snap-checks and desk/station audits.
  7. Handle complaints from members as referred by the front-line employees.
  8. Process loan applications for members, approving those applications within the approval limit that fully satisfy the requirements.
  9. Pre-process complex loan applications referring them to the Branch Manager or the Credit Department for further processing.
  10. Collaborate with Securities Unit regarding the processing of collateral documents for loans.
  11. Collaborate with the Delinquency Unit regarding the collection of loans in default.
  12. Act as Branch Manager when required.
  13. Assist with the marketing and/or cross-selling of products and services to members.
  14. Ensure that the Branch is kept in a clean and comfortable state daily.
  15. Provide monthly and ad hoc reports on the performance of the Branch’s loan portfolio to the Branch Manager.

  QUALIFICATION

The incumbent should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or the equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar function.
