Job Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and commercial performance of the Kingston branch across all divisions. This role drives revenue growth, oversees daily operations, manages key client relationships, and ensures efficient coordination of sales, procurement, and administrative functions. The incumbent is also accountable for expanding local and international business opportunities, including tendering and supplier engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Plan, direct, and evaluate daily operations across all business divisions within the branch.
  • Supervise staff, assign duties, and ensure effective workflow and accountability.
  • Oversee daily financial transactions, including invoicing, cash reconciliation, bank deposits, and purchase orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement to ensure adequate stock availability.
  • Prepare and review operational and sales reports, including inventory and performance metrics.

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales performance across all product and service lines locally and internationally.
  • Identify market opportunities, assess local market conditions, and develop sales forecasts—particularly for the energy division.
  • Manage major client accounts and lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and discounts in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
  • Secure new business through tendering processes with national and international organizations.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue and expand market share.

Procurement & Supply Chain

  • Source and procure inventory from local and international suppliers, particularly for the energy division.
  • Coordinate overseas shipments and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

  • Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, and industry events across Jamaica and internationally.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop staff to achieve operational and sales targets.
  • Design and implement training programs and seminars for the sales team and agents.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture within the branch.

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality customer service across all divisions.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints, operational challenges, and supply issues in a timely manner.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of financial and operational activities.

Other

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by executive management.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Certification or training in Accounting or Finance is an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4–5 years’ management experience in a branch, retail, or multi-functional business environment.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, and team leadership.
  • Experience managing procurement, inventory, or supply chain operations is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to tendering and international business transactions is an asset.
