We are seeking a skilled Branch Maintenance Manager to oversee repairs, renovations, and maintenance across multiple restaurant locations. The ideal candidate will lead a team, manage contractors, and ensure all facilities meet safety, quality, and brand standards.
CORE FUNCTION
Responsible for overseeing all renovations, repairs, and ongoing maintenance across restaurant branches to ensure that facilities remain safe, functional, and aligned with company standards. The Branch Maintenance Manager will supervise a team of maintenance personnel, coordinate with external contractors and vendors, and manage all maintenance-related budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and support staff to ensure consistent service quality across all locations.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee renovation, remodel, and maintenance projects for multiple restaurant branches.
- Manage and liaise with external contractors and vendors, ensuring work meets brand, safety, and compliance standards.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets, review project estimates, and track expenses to maintain cost control.
- Schedule and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and operational disruption.
- Conduct routine inspections of restaurant facilities to assess conditions and identify areas for repair or improvement.
- Oversee the procurement, inventory, and proper usage of maintenance materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, occupational safety standards, health regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, and Procurement departments to align maintenance activities with organizational goals.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports detailing maintenance activities, costs, and performance metrics for management review.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues, coordinating rapid response actions when required.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or Senior Management.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in construction, renovation, or facilities maintenance management.
- Proven experience in supervising teams and managing external contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management or maintenance tracking software.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Experience in the restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry is an asset.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Facilities Management (CFM) is an advantage.
