Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Administration team in the capacity of:

 

 

Branch Administration Associate – Liguanea

(Grade 2)

 

 

Provide efficient administrative support to the Branch Manager and Financial Advisors and assist the Branch Administration Supervisor in guiding the administrative team in the achievement of the branch’s goals and objectives.

 

 Location: Kingston

 

As a Branch Administration Associate, you will:

 

  • Provide administrative support to the Branch Coordinator.
  • Prepare memorandum, letters, Minutes of Meeting and general correspondences.
  • Assist with the arrangements of branch meetings/functions (one-to-one Sessions, retreats and awards ceremony.
  • Prepare and submit administrative reports to the Branch Coordinator.
  • Provide supervision to the HEART Trainee in collaboration with the Branch Administration Coordinator.
  • Assist with the training of administrative team members.
  • Screen and monitor the application process flow and settlement of Coupon applications.
  • Assist with the processing of the recruitment and termination documents for pre-contracted and terminated Financial Advisors.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of selection interview and recruiting files for new recruits.
  • Dispatch policy contracts to Financial Advisors.
  • Record and submit Policy Acknowledgement Receipts to the New Business Department on Transmittal Form.
  • Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the department administrative expense budgets.
  • Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Successful completion of LOMA Parts 1 and 2.
  • Three (3) years’ work experience in a life insurance company.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Sound knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Strong knowledge of life insurance principle.
  • Excellent human relations and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
