Blow Moulding Technician

The Blow Moulding Technician has responsibility to produce, reheat, and stretch blow mould PET bottles at the required quality and quantity standards agreed on to achieve the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adjust process data to correct bottle defects
- Operate blow moulding machines
- Clear and reset faults on blow moulding machines
- Repair blow moulding machines as the need arise
- Clear and reset faults on air compressors and chiller equipment
- Complete and record daily maintenance checks on Blow Moulders
- Perform adjustments to Airveyor lines
- Carry out and record visual bottle checks
- Execute work in a safe, neat and workman like manner
- Ensure full completion of all records, necessary safety work permits and work order reports to your supervisor in a timely manner
- Adhere to HSE policies
- Any other duty as may be assigned within the scope of the job.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
- Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Production Technology from NTEI or an equivalent technical institution
- Minimum four (4) CSEC passes including Mathematics, English and a technical subject with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Effective communication skills – written and verbal including the preparation of reports and the ability to give clear instructions
- Working knowledge of MS Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Extensive troubleshooting experience
- Active team player with the ability to function well individually
- Good analytical, problem-solving and planning skills
