Bar Manager/Mixologist

F.O.J Museum and Event Center is seeking a creative and experienced Bar Manager / Mixologist to lead the development and operation of our bar services.

The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the FOJ bars, ensuring high standards of service, organization and efficiency. This role involves managing bar staff, controlling inventory, maintaining beverage quality and ensuring smooth operations during concerts, cultural events and upscale gatherings hosted at F.O.J. The Bar Manager will play a key leadership role in building and training the bar team while helping create a vibrant and professional bar experience that enhances the overall atmosphere of the venue. This role includes managing two bars- one indoor and one outdoor.

The Mixologist will be responsible for designing and preparing creative cocktails and signature drinks that enhance the F.O.J guest experience. This role requires a passion for mixology, creativity and presentation with a strong focus on developing beverages that showcase Jamaican flavors, fruits and spirits. The Mixologist will work closely with the Bar Manager and FOJ management to develop unique drink menus for concerts, cultural events and upscale gatherings, helping to create memorable beverage experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the F.O.J bars

• Develop creative cocktail menus and signature drinks

• Train and supervise mixologists and bar staff

• Manage inventory, ordering and stock control

• Ensure high standards of customer service and presentation

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar areas

• Work closely with management to create beverage experiences for concerts, events and upscale gatherings

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years experience in bar management or mixology

• Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, spirits, wines and beverages

• Experience creating signature drinks or cocktail menus

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Professional attitude and strong work ethic

• Interest in building a long-term career relationship with the company
