Bakery Manager

Lydford Logistics is one of Jamaica's premier agriculture and food processing facilities providing services for cold, chilled, and dry storage and third-party logistics to hotels, restaurants, and other institutions islandwide.

Lydford Logistics Ltd. is seeking an exceptional Bakery Manager to lead the development and management of a high-volume centralized bakery facility serving Jamaica’s growing food service sector.

This role goes beyond traditional bakery management. The successful candidate will build, scale, and commercialize a modern bakery operation, supplying institutional clients including restaurant chains, hotels, supermarkets, and schools, while maintaining world-class production, quality, and compliance standards.

You will be responsible for end-to-end leadership of the bakery division, including production, sales growth, operational efficiency, team leadership, and full P&L management.

The Opportunity

• Lead the expansion of a modern bakery production facility

• Establish market leadership in burger bun production

• Drive commercial sales growth across multiple institutional channels

• Deliver world-class food safety, quality, and audit readiness

• Build a high-performing production and sales team

• Develop new product opportunities including frozen bakery products

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience managing high-volume bakery or food production operations

• Demonstrated ability to sell bakery products into commercial markets

• Strong business acumen and financial management capability

• Experience delivering operational efficiency and cost control

• Strong leadership and team development capability

• Knowledge of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, GMP, ISO)

Qualifications

• BSc in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Business Management, or related field

• Minimum 5+ years leadership experience in bakery or food manufacturing

• Strong commercial and operational management capability

• Valid Driver’s Licence
