Automotive/PMC Refinish Technical Officer – All Island

Berger Paints Jamaica Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Automotive/PMC Refinish Technical Officer – All Island.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for a technically strong and customer-focused professional with experience in the automotive refinish paint industry and a passion for training, relationship management, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical training seminars and support programmes for staff, dealers, body shops, and key accounts
  • Ensure all automotive refinish equipment, software, and hardware remain functional, updated, and properly maintained
  • Conduct customer and garage visits across the island in keeping with established KPIs and route plans
  • Lead annual garage conversion campaigns and support business growth initiatives
  • Coordinate software subscriptions, upgrades, installations, and related technical support activities
  • Support inventory forecasting and stock management activities
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional activities for key accounts
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Assist with the upkeep and continuous improvement of the Auto Training Centre
  • Promote workplace safety and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Provide technical support to regional/export accounts when required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an automotive refinish paint environment
  • Experience in technical support, training, marketing, or related functions would be an asset
  • Exposure to the coatings industry would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of automotive refinish equipment and related IT tools
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must own a reliable motor vehicle
