KPMG in Caricom is seeking to hire a talented, highly motivated Assistant Manager – Risk Management. The Assistant Manager – Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the client onboarding process to ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures and regulations (where required). This role involves managing a team of analysts, ensuring timely and accurate completion of due diligence, and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients across multiple countries.

 Key Responsibilities:

•Lead and manage the AML/KYC onboarding team, ensuring high-quality and timely execution of onboarding processes.
•Oversee the collection, verification, and analysis of client documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal          policies.
•Ensure enhanced due diligence (EDD) is conducted for high-risk clients.
•Liaise with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and client facing engagement teams to resolve complex onboarding issues.
•Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
•Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
•Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure the team’s procedures reflect current requirements.
•Provide training and mentorship to team members to support their professional development.


Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
•5+ years of experience in AML/KYC, client onboarding, or financial crime compliance.
•Strong knowledge of global AML regulations (e.g., CIMA, AMLD, BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, FATF guidelines).
•Proven leadership and team management skills.
•Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
•Experience with onboarding platforms and compliance tools (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis, Dun & Bradstreet).


Preferred Skills:
•CAMS, ICA or similar AML certification.
•Experience in investment banking, asset management, or capital markets.
•Familiarity with digital onboarding and automation tools.
