Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Human Resources team in the capacity of:
Assistant Manager – People Compliance, Talent Management and Data Governance
Responsible for providing leadership oversight, governance and assurance across people-related compliance, regulatory obligations, talent management processes and HR data integrity.
Ensures all team and people data used for regulatory filings, audits, reporting, and decision-making is accurate, secure, timely, compliant and audit-ready, while supporting the development and sustainability of the Group’s talent pipeline.
Location: Kingston
As an Assistant Manager – People Compliance, Talent Management and Data Governance, you will:
- Provide leadership oversight for People Compliance and Fit & Proper obligations across all relevant regulators (BOJ, FSC, JSE, CIMA, TCI).
- Govern and assure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of people-related data used for compliance, talent management and reporting.
- Oversee regulatory licensing, disclosures, connected parties and audit readiness activities.
- Support and monitor talent management initiatives, including HIPO, succession, leadership development and career progression.
- Act as a key liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring timely, accurate and defensible submissions.
- Oversee the review and documentation of all policy changes.
- Lead the follow-up and closure of Management Action Plans arising from audits and regulatory reviews.
- Govern the management of AML & ISA staff lists, sanctions tracking, and regulatory reporting
- Serve as the central coordination point for internal and external audit requests relating to People Compliance and Talent Management.
- Partner with Internal Audit, Risk and Legal to address findings and strengthen controls.
- Monitor Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and career progression initiatives.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports covering Compliance status, Licensing and Fit & Proper metrics, Talent Management and Development indicators.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce compliance and data risks.
- Champion standardisation, process discipline and accountability across the team.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Management Studies, or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in HR, Compliance, Risk, or a related environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with regulatory bodies, audits and sensitive data.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
