JN Bank Limited is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the position of Assistant Manager- Budgeting & Analytics. The Assistant Manager- Budgeting & Analytics is integral in assisting with the preparation, development and analysis of key financial information to ensure that the Bank’s management makes well-informed decisions to ensure its future stability, growth and profitability. The incumbent should aim to establish and maintain management information systems, as well as provide a high quality support service to the relevant internal stakeholders.  The Assistant Manager is expected to assist with the preparation of the Bank’s budget and monitor the actual expenditure to the budget throughout the year and develop insightful analysis about the business and the strategic and operational implications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare periodic performance measurement reports to include but not limited to cost, revenue, customer, branch and product profitability;
• Advise on the financial implications and consequences of business plans or strategy;
• Conducting critical analyses of financial data;
• Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers;
• Assist in providing explanation for variances on prudential reports
• Assist with the preparation of the Bank’s budget for approval by the appropriate Board committee;
• Monitor actual expenditure to budget by conducting reviews and analyses at regular intervals and recommending remedial action(s), as appropriate;
• Convene meetings with relevant departments to discuss inter alia matters related to their expenditure relative to their budget;
• Assist with the preparation of variance analysis and commentaries on economic and industry trends;
• Contribute to the medium and long-term business planning/forecasts;

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance or other related area
• A minimum of three years’ experience in financial reporting and analysis with three years at the supervisory capacity within a financial institution.
