The Assistant Laundry Manager is responsible for supporting the Laundry Manager in the daily operations of the laundry facility. This includes overseeing staff, ensuring quality control, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.
*Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Laundry Manager in overseeing daily laundry operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor laundry processes, including washing, drying, pressing, and folding, to ensure optimal performance.
- Schedule and assign tasks to laundry staff to ensure timely completion of laundry services.
*Staff Supervision:
- Train, mentor, and support laundry staff in proper procedures, safety practices, and equipment usage.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of laundry personnel.
*Quality Control:
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to customer specifications.
- Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to laundry services promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished laundry to ensure standards are met.
*Equipment Maintenance: *
- Ensure all laundry equipment is functioning properly and report any maintenance issues to the Laundry Manager.
- Assist in coordinating equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility.
* Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and assist in ordering materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory usage and assist in inventory control processes.
* Health and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce health and safety regulations and best practices in the laundry facility.
- Conduct regular training sessions on safety procedures and emergency protocols for staff members.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to laundry operations.
* Administrative Support:
- Assist in preparing reports on laundry operations, staffing, and inventory for management review.
- Contribute to budgeting and cost control measures within the laundry department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless laundry services throughout the organization.
