Role Purpose
To develop relationships with current, future and potential airport handling, aircraft repair and aviation training operators in ensuring the structured development of the business of the company to achieve its stated objectives.
Nature and Scope
This position will be responsible for the development of business relationships with Airport operators and aviation service providers and the company. The position will also develop and prepare business cases for plans and strategies for the company and its airport affiliates.
Responsibilities Summary
- Prepares summaries of and advises on all airport operators and service and support operations in the eastern Caribbean relevant to the business of the company.
- Undertake research using appropriate analytical tools with the aim of providing information and analysis on all airport operators and service and support operations (the Sector). Provide information on what research is already available in the Sector.
- Use of research and data, towards preparation of papers and technical presentations as required.
- Assist the Chief Executive Officer in the conceptualisation and preparation of major policy analysis, and prepare and, or as required, contribute to the preparation and delivery of reports, papers, briefings and speeches.
- Coordinate and assist in preparations for and servicing of meetings by assisting with the preparation of the required documentation and reports and assisting with the logistical aspects.
- Establishes communications and maintains and fosters good working relationships with operators in the Sector.
- Develops annual and monthly plans for fostering relationships and promoting the growth of the aviation sector by increasing airline service and support operator activity.
- Communicates with and maintains good relations with relevant civil aviation authorities and advises on, prepares and progresses relevant regulatory applications related to commercial civil aviation support.
- Liaises with Government Affairs and Airline Affairs Officers in the development of plans.
- Performs any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A degree in Business or similar discipline.
- Five to Seven Years’ experience in civil aviation and the management of airport and ground handling operations or MROs, training organisations or similar.
- Knowledge of principles and practices in international civil aviation (IATA, ICAO).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and other office applications.
- Excellent research, analytical, writing and communication skills.
