Basic Salary: $2,190,302.00 - $2,945,712.00 per annum
JOB SMMARY:
To provide support to the Plant through the issuing of raw materials and other supplies to the production department in order to facilitate timely and efficient production. The position also plays a critical role in maintaining adequate inventory levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the proper storage and handling of raw materials and supplies held in the stores in accordance to the food storage and prevention of infestation regulations.
Ensure effective inventory control and timely reporting of stock movement (issuing) for each stock item.
- Performs weekly physical counts.
- Perform reconciliation for all stock checks and record findings of variances.
· Troubleshoot stock variances and derive solutions.
- Generates daily stores re-order report
- Ensure that goods received in the stores reflect accurately what is received on the perpetual inventory system.
- Ensure that raw materials kept in stores are checked on a daily basis before and after issuing.
· Examine and inspect stock items for defects, correct quantities as recorded on packaging, expiry date, etc…
- Evaluate and post raw material transfer from stores to production floor in Accpac software.
· Examine raw material utilization reports, evaluate usage in comparison to formulae and ascertain reasons for the difference in usage, if any, especially of similar batches.
- Ensure raw material requested by the production (shift) supervisors are issued on a timely basis.
- Ensure that all stores requisitions/requests are in keeping with the authorized procedures of the organization.
- Ensure that quantity (measurement) of goods are in keeping with the accounts department regulations and guidelines.
- Manage and ensure that all raw materials issued are checked by the security personnel
- Update stock register (inventory system).
- Ensure that proper records are maintained as related to raw materials inventory.
- Any other functions as requested by the Production Manager
Performance Standards :
- Raw material and supplies are stored in accordance with food storage and
prevention of infestation regulations
- Stock checks are performed in accordance with agreed intervals
- Stock reorders are reported in agreed time frames
- Goods requested are issued on a timely basis without error
- All material issued is checked by security personnel
- Stock levels are maintained within agreed levels
- Inventory of supplies is updated on a regular basis

Minimum Required Education and Experience:
Diploma in Inventory Management or equivalent
- Certificate in Computer Studies
- At least one year stores experience, incorporating inventory management.
Experience in Accpac and Windows software would be an asset
