Job Title: Accounts Clerk/Accounting Assistant

]Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Accounts Payables FunctionsPerform Accounts Receivables Functions
  • Assist with Payroll preparation
  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily data entry of financial transactions
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Perform any other function within the accounting department or as directed by Management

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of Five (5) CXC's including Principles of Accounts
  • At least two (2) years previous experience of general accounting Computer Proficiency- Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of an Accounting software (SAGE50 will be an asset)

Key Competencies

  • Accuracy, attention to detail, analytical, thorough, well-organized. Team workInterpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Basic understanding of payroll functions and practices
