Accounting Clerk
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join its Administrative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring timely processing of transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue customer invoices in a timely manner
• Perform accurate data entry in accounting software (QuickBooks)
• Maintain and update financial records and ledgers
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including collections
• Process credit card payments and prepare cheques (JMD & USD)
• Reconcile cheque transactions and support financial accuracy
• Coordinate shipping documentation, including weekly shipping weights and FedEx logistics
• Process local utility bill payments and handle release documentation
• Liaise with warehouse operations and support administrative coordination
Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of five (5) CXC subjects, including Accounts and/or Mathematics
• Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Studies would be an asset
• At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong numerical, organizational, and record-keeping skills
Skills & Competencies:
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
