JOB TITLE: Accounting Analyst
SALARY: $10,000.00 Negotiable

JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the finance functions of the organization by preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial records. This role ensures accuracy and compliance
with accounting standards and company policies, while assisting with month-end close processes, reconciliations, payroll, treasury activities, and providing comprehensive financial support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Recordkeeping & Reporting:
• Prepare and review journal entries, ledger entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and documented.
• Monitor and analyze account balances to identify discrepancies or anomalies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, schedules, and summaries.
• Maintain and update the fixed assets register.
• Generate financial schedules and documentation required for tenders.
2. General Accounting:
• Daily monitoring of bank balances to ensure sufficient funds for operations and optimal cash management.
• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy.
• Execute and oversee bank transactions, including payments and collections.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners and financial institutions.
• Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and payments.
• Support collections efforts and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Manage petty cash funds, including disbursements, reimbursements, and record-keeping.
• Accurately process payroll calculations to ensure employee wages and deductions are correct.
3. Audit & Tax Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audit procedures by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Support tax filings and ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations.
4. Other Responsibilities:
• Perform any other related tasks assigned to support the finance department
HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Employee is required to support all Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) initiatives, policies, procedures and activities in all aspects of the Company’s operations.
• The Employee must immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Manager
• Wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety vest, hard hat, boots, safety glasses, is compulsory when visiting vessels or ports.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Studies or Economics fields
• Pursuing ACCA Level II or above
• A minimum of four years’ experience in an accounting environment
• Working knowledge of accounting software/payroll
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity and understanding of Tax and VAT laws and regulations
• Comprehensive understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
