Accountant

Lead the financial planning, analysis, and inventory control processes, ensuring compliance with ANSA McAL Group standards, to support strategic decision-making, optimize financial performance, and guide the development of junior finance staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts to support timely and accurate internal financial reporting. 

• Analyze financial performance and variances against budgets and forecasts to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for business improvement. 

• Lead the budget and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads, ensuring alignment with business strategies and operational goals. 

• Manage the inventory control function, including oversight of costing, provisions, reconciliation, and reporting in accordance with IAS2 and Group Policy. 

• Ensure accuracy and compliance in the preparation of tax, statutory, and regulatory reports, including VAT/GCT and other required submissions. 

• Coach, mentor, and supervise the Accounting Associate and Accounting Analyst, providing direction, training, and performance feedback. Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and accurate reconciliations of all balance sheet items. 

• Drive month-end close-off activities to ensure accurate and timely financial information for leadership review. 

• Lead process improvement initiatives across financial systems, controls, and reporting to increase efficiency and reduce financial risk. 

• Develop management reports, dashboards, and analysis that support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning. 

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, HR, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment of financial and operational objectives.
