The role of the accountant will be reporting to the General Manager and is primarily responsible for managing the financial transactions of the organization, monitoring cash flows and reporting on the organization’s financial position.

Duration: Three (3) year Contract

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Managing all the financial transactions of the organization.
• Assisting in establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures
• Preparation of  monthly management accounts with schedules and analysis.
• Preparation of timely and accurate financial reports
• Managing sub-ledgers and preparation of monthly reconciliations.
• Preparation of budgets
• Ensuring adherence to current accounting practices, company policies and systems.
• Coordination of annual audits.
• Monitoring compliance with the various statutory bodies and timely payments.
• Advising on the improvement of financial management system, internal controls/processes to improve business efficiency .
• Ad hoc duties as deemed necessary to the job function .

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completion of or pursuing ACCA Level 3
• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in Financial Reporting.
• Experience with implementing automated Accounting Systems including designing charts of accounts.
• Experience with Accounts Receivables will be considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Knowledge of Financial Controls.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of operating Accounting Systems.
