Job Description / Purpose

The Account Executive at Caledonia Outdoor Advertising (COA) is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of outdoor advertising (OOH) media, including billboards, digital screens, and transit placements across COA’s portfolio of locations throughout Jamaica. The role combines strategic account management with active new business development, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Account Management

  • Proactively market and sell Caledonia Outdoor Advertising’s OOH inventory to new and existing clients
  • Maintain and grow a designated portfolio of accounts through regular scheduled meetings, calls, and relationship-building activities
  • Develop and execute a personal sales plan to consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Conduct prospecting calls and follow up on leads to develop a strong pipeline of new business
  • Organise and conduct site visits to showcase available billboard and OOH locations to prospective clients

 

Sales Administration & Proposals

  • Formulate tailored proposals and creative advertising solutions aligned to client objectives 
  • Provide clients with accurate information on pricing, location availability, and product specifications 
  • Deliver advertising proofs and artwork approvals to clients in a timely manner 
  • Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring signed agreements are returned and properly filed 
  • Assist with the preparation of sales literature, media kits, website content, and other assigned projects
Operations & Internal Coordination
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure timely execution of client campaigns and effective after-sales service 
  • Raise Purchase Orders upon receipt of client artwork and submit to the Printery Department 
  • Verify that all completed work orders are accurately invoiced; deliver invoices to clients and follow up for payment
  • Report any site condition concerns identified during field visits to the Production Team for action 
  • Advise the Finance Department of media cancellations and request credit notes where applicable Reporting & Forecasting 
  • Prepare a weekly sales activity and pipeline report for the Head of Sales & Marketing 
  • Work with Management to forecast revenues and identify prospective growth areas across the island 
  • Submit commission and performance data to Finance on a monthly basis 
  • Follow up on overdue receivables and support collections as required 
  • Participate in quarterly zone trips as scheduled by Management 
  • Attend and participate in networking events, trade shows, and industry groups on behalf of COA 
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support the COA Sales Team
Qualifications & Experience
  • BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, Management Studies, or equivalent qualification 
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in media sales, advertising, or a related commercial sales role; OOH/outdoor advertising experience is a strong asset 
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets 
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client base across Jamaica 
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or similar design tools is an advantage 
  •  Valid Jamaican driving licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle (required for field-based client visits island-wide)
