Salary: Monthly Basic Salary: $6,161.32

             Travel Allowance:       $1,800.00

             On achievement of quarterly targets: $1,500.00 per quarter

JOB SUMMARY

 

This position serves as a driver of revenue and the sale of the Company’s digital products across the various e-platforms. It is also responsible for quality and consistency of products and service delivery.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the Group Sales Manager and Circulation Manager in attaining the overall sales targets on all Trinidad Express Newspapers digital products, including e-paper subscriptions. This will entail utilizing market data as sales tools for achieving the overall sales targets.
  • Works directly with the Group Sales Manager and Circulation Manager to develop sales presentations, design sales strategies, and implement sales/promotional campaigns for the sale of the Company’s digital products/assets.
  • Generates and implements ideas and strategies for products and services to increase business and revenue.
  • Maintains and builds personal contact with clients, with a view to keeping them abreast of all new developments (specials, etc.) and communicates all pertinent client information in a timely fashion e.g. rate changes and other market data.
  • Expands client base consistently on a weekly and monthly basis and follow up on leads to ensure targets are met.
  • Prepares quotations, proposals, insertion/booking orders based on client needs and requests and ensures the specific client instructions are adhered to.
  • Reviews and ensures all artwork and other relevant content are received in a timely manner, ensuring the artwork meets the required specifications for publishing.
  • Provides feedback/market intelligence pertaining to any information that will assist in maintaining the competitive advantage; submits reports and recommendations.
  • Prepares status reports on a timely basis or as required.
  • Ensures timely delivery of invoices for charge customers and suitable follow-up for collection of payment for both charge and cash customers.
  • Acts as the liaison between the client, including e-paper subscribers and the Company to resolve any queries/disputes.
  • Performs any other duties which are incidental or consequential to the above, as may be assigned by the Head of Department or representative.

  • Work is normally performed in a typical sale environment- both in-house and externally.

QUALIFICATIONS

(Education, Knowledge and Experience, Skills/ Abilities and Certification)

Education/ Certification

    • Diploma in Marketing or related discipline. A Bachelor’s Degree would be considered an asset
    • Professional training in sales support skills – communication, assertiveness

Knowledge And Experience

    • At least two (2) years experience in a similar position
    • Media experience will be considered an asset
    • Computer literacy
    • A proven track record in Sales
