CORE FUNCTIONS:
1. Strategic Financial Advisory & Decision Support
• Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and business leaders, providing strategic insights on corporate finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, capital allocation, financial risk management and long-term planning, supported by financial modeling, valuation analyses, and assessment of market trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven reports, dashboards, and presentations to Executive Leadership, the Board, and key stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Translate financial, market and economic data into clear recommendations providing objective financial perspectives on major decisions.
2. Advanced Analytics & Performance Insights
• Oversee financial analytics and reporting, ensuring accurate, timely insights on performance versus budgets, forecasts, and historical trends.
• Develop and apply advanced analytical frameworks, including predictive analytics and data visualization, while partnering with business units to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and drive actionable performance improvements.
3. Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth.
• Manage team priorities and workflow while promoting strong cross-functional collaboration with Investor Relations, Risk, Treasury, and other departments.
4. Stakeholder Management & Communication
• Support Investor Relations and external communications with analytical insights for earnings calls, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Engage effectively with auditors, regulators, financial partners, and senior leadership, while collaborating with the CFOs of NCBJ and NCBFG to advance a best-in-class financial centre of excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• Professional Certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is strongly preferred. A CPA, CA, or ACCA designation would be an asset.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, or a senior financial planning and analysis (FP&A) role.
• Proven experience in a leadership capacity, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• Extensive experience in financial modeling, valuation, and statistical analysis.
• Experience in the financial services or banking industry is highly desirable.
