ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER

The successful candidate will assist the executive housekeeper in achieving high levels of guest satisfaction with regard to the cleanliness and comfort of guest rooms and public areas. He/she supports the executive housekeeper in directing and controlling all housekeeping activities, including the maintenance of rooms and public areas in accordance with company standards. 

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

• Developing an annual budget including a staffing guide and capital requirements.
• Coordinating with maintenance and front office managers regarding projects and preventative maintenance.
• Continually looking for sustainable ways to improve the operations of the housekeeping department.
• Maintaining hotel standards, policies, and procedures as they relate to health and safety.
• The ability to analyze, resolve problems, and exercise good judgment.
• Keeping abreast of current trends within the hospitality industry.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Business Management or equivalent
• Minimum three years’ work experience in a similar or comparative position
• Computer literate with working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• International experience would be an advantage.
