Support the Accountant in managing the Company’s financial accounting systems, internal controls, and treasury functions, ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and objectives, while maintaining efficient operations and alignment with the Group’s overall standards and requirements.

Duties include, but not limited to:

 

  • Preparation of Consolidation Packs for Goddard Catering Group (Barbados) Ltd. and its sister companies. 
  • Maintaining accurate inventories for Goddard Catering Group (Barbados) Ltd. sister companies. 
  • The completion of Flash Reports
  • Preparation and development of Annual and Bi-Annual Budgets of Goddard Catering Group (Barbados) Ltd. and its sister companies
  • To prepare financial documentation and payments as required by GAIA Inc. for rental of the space at the Airport for all Companies
  • The preparation of Audit Schedules for all financial audits. 
  • The preparation of Bank Reconciliations
  • Adequately maintain the Fixed Asset Register. 
  • Reviewing the various accounts sub-ledgers for Goddard Catering Group and the assigned sister Company(s).
  • The preparation of Returns / Surveys as requested by the various Governmental bodies
  • The preparation, reconciliation and distribution of Intercompany Statements for Goddard Catering Group (Barbados) Ltd. and its assigned sister Companies.
  • To perform any other Accounting duties as requested by the Accountant or Station Manager.
  • To perform any other related duties as directed by the Accountant.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting / management from an accredited institution.   
  • Being a member of a recognized professional body; Level 2 of the ACCA or an accounting designation is an asset but not a requirement. 
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ accounting experience.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical, interpersonal, written and oral communications skills. 
  • Proficient in the use of various computer programs including SAP, Adagio or a similar accounting package.
  • Strong budget development and oversight skills
